Boise, IdahoEst. 1988

Boise has every kind of house. We have plumbed most of them.

Boise runs from North End bungalows and Bench ranch houses to foothills builds and new subdivisions out west. A hundred years of housing stock means a hundred years of plumbing decisions, some good and some not. Our shop is just across the line in Garden City, and Boise is where we have done the most work since 1988.

What we see in Boise

Every town in the valley plumbs a little differently.

Thirty-eight years in the Treasure Valley means we already know what Boise houses tend to do — and what they need before they do it.

01

Older homes in the North End and East End

Some of the oldest houses in the valley are here, and plenty still have galvanized supply, cast-iron drains, or clay laterals under the yard. Low pressure, rusty water, and repeat backups usually mean the original pipe is done. We camera first and tell you whether it is a repair or a repipe.

02

The Bench and mid-century ranch houses

Bench homes from the '50s through the '70s are hitting the same failures at once: galvanized lines closing up, original shutoffs that will not turn, and sewer laterals that roots have found. We replace what is failing and leave what still has years in it.

03

Foothills, Southeast, and West Boise

Newer neighborhoods have their own problems: high street pressure on the hillsides, first water heater replacements in homes built in the '90s and 2000s, and hard water scaling everything it touches. We size heaters and treatment to the house, not the brochure.

Straight answers

Boise questions we get asked a lot.

Where are you located?
Our shop is at 8361 W State St in Garden City, right next to Boise. Most Boise addresses are a short drive from the shop.
My older Boise house has low water pressure. What causes that?
In older North End and Bench homes, it is usually galvanized pipe closing up with rust and scale from the inside. In newer homes, it is more often a failing pressure reducing valve. We test before we quote, because one is a valve swap and the other is a repipe.
Do you work on older North End and East End homes?
Yes. Cast iron, galvanized, and clay laterals are regular work for us. We camera before we quote, and we work around plaster, original trim, and finished basements instead of opening more wall than the job needs.
Can you camera the sewer before we buy a house in Boise?
Yes. A pre-purchase camera inspection is worth doing on any older Boise home. We run the line, mark the depth, and give you the footage before you close.
